Playing Mancala involves moving stones around the board to capture more stones than your opponent.

Setup:

Place the board horizontally.
Each player has six small pits (houses) on their side and a larger store (Mancala) to their right.
Place a set number of stones (e.g., four) in each of the six pits on both sides of the board.

Gameplay:

Players take turns, starting with the first player.
On your turn, choose one of the pits on your side of the board that contains stones.
Pick up all the stones from that pit.
Moving counter-clockwise, “sow” the stones by dropping one stone into each subsequent pit, including your own store.
If you run out of stones before reaching your opponent’s side, continue sowing in the pits on the opponent’s side and then back to your own, if necessary.
If your last stone lands in your own store, you get another turn.
If your last stone lands in an empty pit on your side, and the opposite pit on your opponent’s side contains stones, you capture both your last stone and all stones in the opposite pit, placing them in your store.

Ending the Game:

The game ends when all six pits on one player’s side of the board are empty.
The player who still has stones on their side of the board at the end of the game captures all those remaining stones and places them in their store.
Count the stones in each player’s store; the player with the most stones wins
